The Empowerment Coaching Academy
is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal
information under its control about consumers, volunteer,
staff and donors, and as part of the commitment we have implemented
this privacy policy. In our effort to maintain appropriate
standards of care in managing personal information we observe,

Accountability
The Empowerment Coaching Academy is accountable for Empowerment
Coaching Academy compliance with this policy and for taking
appropriate measures to do so.

The Global identifies the purposes for which it collects
personal information prior to the time the information
is collected, and only collects information necessary for
the identified purposes.

Empowerment Coaching Academy obtains consent, either implied,

express consent of the consumer or donor.

Empowerment Coaching Academy limits the collection of personal
information to that which is required for the purposes
of delivery of its services.

Personal information should be used and disclosed only for
the purposes for which it was originally collected unless
a specific consent from the individual have been obtained
or where the law specifically provides otherwise.
Accuracy
Empowerment Coaching Academy keeps personal information as
accurate, complete and up-to-date as is necessary for the
identified purposes.
Safeguards
Empowerment Coaching Academy takes reasonable measures to
ensure that personal information is kept safe from loss
or theft, unauthorized access, use, copying, disclosure
or modification. A higher level of protection is used to
safeguard more sensitive information, such as personal
health information.
Openness
Empowerment Coaching Academy makes information available
to the public about our privacy policy and practices by
way of the internet, phone, fax or e-mail, print materials
(brochures, documents) and in person, in response to inquiries.
Empowerment Coaching Academy ensures that all staff/volunteers
can answer consumer inquiries and can appropriately refer
additional questions and complaints regarding compliance.
Individual Access
Upon Request Empowerment Coaching Academy will:
• Inform consumers and donors that it has personal information
about them;
• Explain how this information has been used;
• Provide a list of any organizations to which it has been
disclosed; and
• Give individuals access to their information
Challenging Compliance
Empowerment Coaching Academy has procedures in place to receive,
respond to and track concerns or complaints about its management
of personal information. These procedures are available
to the public on Empowerment Coaching Academy's website
and in a brochure available at our regional and area offices.
